We fund disability sport clubs, charities, and organisations to access equipment to expand their programmes and reach more participants.
Grants for people with physical disabilities and visual impairments to access equipment to help them progress within sport.
Our funding is specifically targeted at benefiting communities across South West England and Wales.
Review our funding criteria to confirm you meet the requirements for individual or organisation grants.
Complete the appropriate application form at least 6 weeks before your purchase.
If approved, receive your funding, pursue your sporting goals and tell us all about it in your six-month evaluation.
Important: We are no longer accepting applications from individuals or groups that have previously received funding from the Charity.
The Sports Foundation for the Disabled was established in 1990 by founder Bill Levick, following an inspiring fundraising wheelchair push around the coast of Great Britain.
Our mission is to support disabled individuals and groups across South West England and Wales to access sporting opportunities. Over the decades, we have helped countless athletes, clubs, and organisations achieve their goals.
We're committed to removing barriers and enabling participation in disability sport.

Supported for the Rio Paralympics with funding towards a new time trial bicycle.
Funded for competition costs and equipment, winning gold at British Open Water Championships.

Awarded funding for overseas pre-season training in Norway and the Netherlands.

Funded to attend the European Championships, where he won bronze.

Adaptive Surfing
Funded travel to the World Adaptive Surfing Championships where she defended her title.
Discus & Shotput
Funded for training equipment, leading to Elite Athlete status and record-breaking performances.
